DianeDiane Donovan
RMT and Yoga Instructor

Owner/Manager Diane first came to Cayman in 1988 on a dive vacation. She fell in love with Cayman on the first visit and returned every year up until she decided to make this her home in 1995.

She started teaching Yoga in Canada in 1993, having completed two separate two year yoga teacher certifications. She completed her Massage Therapy training in Edmonton, Alberta before moving to Cayman in anticipation of one day having a Wellness Centre incorporating both massage and yoga.

She began working for Body Works in 1997. In 1999, she purchased Body Works and opened up a yoga studio. Her dream was starting to take fruition. In 2000, Body Works moved into a larger location, so that both yoga and spa could be accommodated under one roof.

Diane Donovan began a dedicated study of Yoga (Iyengar and Sapta traditions) in 1984, in Edmonton , Alberta .   In 1990 Diane met her current teacher and mentor, Sandra Sammartino, who introduced her to the true essence of Yoga.  She continues to study with many different Yoga masters, absorbing what really resonates with her.  It is from this place that Diane teaches interdisciplinary Yoga, facilitating a gentle nurturing that allows students to blossom and expand into their own true nature. In addition to co-owning and teaching regular yoga classes, she is currently teaching a 250+ hours Yoga Teacher Training Program and leading seven day Yoga retreats.

Diane practices Swedish, Sports, Neuro-Muscular, and Pre-Natal Massage. She is certified in Level 1 Cranial Sacral Therapy, Level 1 Reflexology, Level 2 Reiki, and has completed her Body Rolling 1, 2, and 3 certification. She likes to work both with deep tissue massage and light or gentle manipulation of the tissues, finding that perfect blend for that particular person's needs.

Diane finds the combination of yoga and massage very fulfilling and satisfying. The human body, mind and soul continue to fascinate and intrigue her with each and every encounter.
